In 1997 Aaron’s first album was called Gold in Germany, Canada, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. His second album “Aaron’s Party (Come and Get It),” gained so much popularity and made him popular worldwide. Not only sold over three million copies in the U.S. of that album but also introduced Carter on an international tour. Today around more than 4 million albums are sold in the US and 10 million worldwide. Aaron also starred in stage plays “Seussical” and “The Fantasticks,”.

Career

At just the age of seven, Carter started playing and became the lead singer of the band Dead End. He left the band two years later. In March 1997, while opening for the Backstreet Boys, he sang the cover “Crush on You” by The Jets and was signed for a recording. Aaron released “Crush on You” as a singles album later that year, and went gold in Australia. On December 1, 1997, he released his debut album which gained so much popularity that it reached no. 5 on the Norwegian charts and no. 6 on the Swedish charts.

On September 26, 2000, Carter’s second album, “Aaron’s Party (Come and Get It),” was released and reached # 4 on the “Billboard” 200 charts. The album has a 3x Platinum-certified album featuring “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq”.

In March 2001 Aaron performed a live concert on the Disney Channel with Samantha Mumba. The following month, he made his Broadway debut at the age of 13 in which he played JoJo the Who in “Seussical,”.

In August 2001, two new albums were released by Aaron Carter named “Oh Aaron,” and “Play Along Toys”. In 2002, he released the DVD of his fourth album, “Another Earthquake!” and his Live in Concert “Oh Aaron”.

In the early 2000s. Carter suffered from several health problems, including hiatal hernia and lactose intolerance, and had some sleep disorders. In 2017, he entered a rehabilitation center in Malibu as he is getting Underweight and malnourished.

In 2019, Aaron alleged that when he was 10 years old his late sister Leslie sexually assaulted him for three and he also accused his brother of the abuse.

In November 2013, Carter listed his total assets for just $ 8,232.16 in his file and filed for bankruptcy in the state of Florida, citing a $ 3.5 million debt. In the IRS alone Aaron owes $ 1.368 million. He also calculated the mid-month salary of $ 2,000 and the average monthly cost of $ 2,005. Carter was staying with a relative when he filed bankruptcy and said his most important items were a $ 3,500 Breitling watch, two MacBook computers, $ 500 television, and a Louis Vuitton backpack.

In 2008, he was suspended for speeding and was arrested when police found a small amount of marijuana in his car. In 2017 he was charged with possession of DUI and marijuana.
