Kakuzi, Kenya’s largest exporter of avocado, reported a profit of ksh528 million marking a 229% profit. The company also deals in tea and pineapples and forestry. The Nairobi Securities Exchange-listed firm increased from sh160.21 in 2014 million to the current Ksh 528million.The high profit is pegged on increased sales and a weaker shilling that boosted export earnings. Good weather conditions and favourable market demand for their products also contributed to the increase. Directors proposed to increase dividend pay out to ksh 5.00 per share.
