NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 11 – KCB Bank has been ranked as Kenya’s best bank in Corporate and Social Responsibility.
This is according to the 2017 Euromoney Awards for Excellence that recognized the lender for is innovative programmes targeted at youth empowerment through job creation.
Through their 2jiajiri programme the lender has set aside Sh50 billion to bridge the unemployment gap for the next five years.
The bank is winning the award for the third time a row since 2015.
The award comes a week after it was ranked position 721 of the world’s top 1000 banks with $929 million (Sh96.47 billion) in tier-one capital.
