NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 11 – Kenya is the third best prepared country to fight cybercrime in Africa after Mauritius and Rwanda
This is according to The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) that also ranked the country 45th among the 144 countries surveyed by the ITU.
According to the Union, Kenya provides an example of co-operation through its National Kenya Computer Incident Response Team Coordination Centre.
Nigeria was at the fourth position while Uganda, came in fifth. South Africa came in sixth while Tanzania took the 11th position.
World best performing is Singapore followed by United States.
The metrics used to rate countries include laws, institutions technical capacity, and cooperation with other countries.
