Resolution Insurance awards top agents in its business
NAIROBI, KENYA, MAR 2 — Endeavors Insurance Agency has been crowned overall winner of the 2018 Resolution Awards, as Resolution Insurance moves to rewards contributors of its sales in 2017.
The agency was gifted with a Nissan Xtrail as well as all expenses paid trips to Mombasa and Dubai for their unmatchable sales.
Dynamite Insurance agency emerged first runners-up. They were recognized for achieving exceptional performance towards Resolution Insurance sales revenue, as Halima Kauchi Mwatela clinched the second runners up in the same category.
Priormed Insurance Consultants agency received an award for trumping the competition in the Medical new business sales category in 2017. The agency was again recognized as the most improved contributor to Resolution Insurance Medical Sales in 2017.
The awards are part of Resolution Insurance’s bids to strengthen its relationship with agents.
This year’s awards were held at the Intercontinental hotel, Nairobi, with managing director Alice Mwai playing host to the top insurance brokers and agents within the Nairobi region.
The annual award ceremony has been ongoing for over 10 years and is aimed at encouraging healthy competition amongst insurance agents and brokers.
“At Resolution we believe it’s our responsibility to ensure that we provide protective insurance solutions across the board that caters to the needs of the different target groups that our products cater to. You, our trusted agents and brokers, have been helping us achieve this through continued sales of our various products,” Mwai said during the awards on Friday.
“It is because of this that we award you for the marvelous work that you have done.”
The insurer noted a growth in general business with more than 100 per cent increase of sales in Motor Insurance leading at 571 per cent and commanding 67 per cent of the non-medical book for 2017.
The general insurer said it achieved an Expected Loss Ratio (ELR) of 35 per cent against the 49 per cent target.
With the implementation of a new agent portal mid this year, agents and brokers will have easier access to services enabling them to process and follow up claims from any given location 24/7, the firm said.
“The system will see the insurers turnaround time reduce from seven days to four days thus making the claims process much quicker while still ensuring customer satisfaction,” the insurer said in a statement.
Resolution Insurance was incorporated in 2002 making it the first company to be registered as a medical Insurance Provider.
The corporation changed from Resolution Health to Resolution Insurance in 2013 as a result of regulatory changes made by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA).
The insurer has a selection of 10 branches across Kenya namely Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Meru, Nyeri, Kisii, Nakuru, Kitengela and Thika.
Resolution Insurance partners with a robust network of 800 medical service providers across East Africa, managing the diversified health insurance needs of corporates, social groups, families and individuals.
