Rwanda’s commitment towards the innovative mentality has earned the country the favor of hosting the prestigious Innovation Prize for Africa (IPA) event that focuses majorly on the transformation process to bring about positive change to the world. Rwanda has made innovation a pivotal sector and goal in the country, with its determination being recognized across Africa.
Scheduled to take place from October 11 – 12, the 7th edition of IPA will bring together top class African innovators and entrepreneurs at the summit that will be held at Kigali Convention Centre. The main agenda is to bring out the creativity in the sector, being made known to the key players in the summit to be acquainted with the developments already made.
The event organizers plan to link up innovators with the entrepreneurs for networking and business purposes. Rwanda will be the biggest gainer in the event, seeking to acquire investors to aid the country’s metamorphosis in the innovation process. Best African innovators will be crowned with accolades to as a token of recognition to their efforts put in place.
Over the years, prior to being picked out as the event’s host, Rwanda has hosted a number of innovation programs in the country as a build up towards their long-term goal. This has built the momentum not only for the Pan-African event but as a strategic plan to shape the country’s policies to accommodate to the right business ecosystem for the perfect investments.
African Innovation Foundation has seen positive strides being taken not only by Rwanda but other African countries in their quest for innovation-led economy, commending them for their performances. With their help, many innovators have reached incredible milestones to steer innovation in Africa.
