‘Winning together through innovation and collaboration’ is the theme of African continent aviation conference.
For the first time Rwanda is hosting the continental Aviation summit in 7th to 9th May, 2016 where aviation experts and key stakeholders will discuss on sustainability of airline business in Africa.
The summit is jointly organized by the African Airline Association (AFRAA), RwandAir and Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Rwanda.
The experts will discuss on competitive environment for the business so as to maintain the present investors and attract the potential ones.
The airline industry provides about 6.9 million jobs in Africa and US $80 billion hence its sustainability calls for Africans appreciation.
John Mirenge, RwandAir Chief Executive Officer insisted, “RwandAir has become an important player in the aviation in the region , therefore histing this important summit is great opportunity that will further strengthen Rwanda’s place in aviation in the region.”
It also presents an opportunity to showcase the country’s infrastructure and natural attractions for business, tourism, personal travel as well as a preferred destination for conference tourism,” Mirenge insisted.
