President Kagame yesterday arrived in Nairobi to attend the 6th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI). He is scheduled to speak tomorrow on the summit’s theme during a high level panel titled “Africa, Towards 2063 and Beyond”, taking place on the second day of the Heads of State summit.
The panel discussion will be opened by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan and will include President Sirleaf of Liberia; former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo; Dr. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank; and Professor Joseph Stiglitz.

TICAD VI is organized by the Government of Japan alongside the Government of Kenya, the United Nations Office of the Special Advisor on Africa (UN-OSSA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); World Bank (WB) and African Union Commission (AUC).
