Tanzania’s national carrier, Air Tanzania has been urged by Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) to increase its routes in order to cater for the high-end volume of tourists visiting the tourists destinations in the country. The tourism sector is understood to be one of the most dependent sectors in the country that has significantly elevated the economic performance of the state.

The airline partnered with TATO to boost the tourism sector in the country to bolster its competitiveness regionally. Air Tanzania Company Limited is under re-structuring that seeks to restore the image of the company after allegedly being tarnished by its competitors.

TATO has reiterated its commitment to help Air Tanzania with the process to make it a success. The national flag carrier is seen to be the most reliable travel source of tourism and the partnership will give it a cutting edge to lift tourism sector. With the sector aiming at soaring higher and higher, Air Tanzania hopes to deliver quality service to the tourists.

More routes are needed to make travel effective by the tourists and Air Tanzania fleet would be able to cater for the travels. The company is adding the tally of air craft to effectively carry out its duties. Poor infrastructure has hindered the growth of sectors, and the revamp is set to help curb the situation. Limited networks in terms of infrastructure has made the accessibility of other areas hard and expensive to the tourists and Government.

The costs of flying to the major parks and reserves is quite expensive with the heap of challenges accompanying the sector. Under the revamp, Air Tanzania will look into reducing travel costs and attract more tourists into the country. More routes will give better access to the destinations and expand the tourism sector by all means.
