Uber link with Tigo to better Tanzania’s transport system

Tanzania, March 26 – Uber, ride-sharing platform has agreed to work with Tigo Tanzania in a deal aimed at strengthening the transport system of the country. The two parties came together to offer their customers better services with quality technology output. Their target market will enjoy a rather effective and efficient improved service, as launched by the two partners.

Mobile network operator, Tigo Tanzania is one of the fastest growing companies in the country and the company seeks to add more tally to its business. Uber has had a positive effect and encounter in the East African branch and proves to be a worthwhile partnership deal that Tigo has undertaken. The taxi company also is keen on brining quality services and ensuring the users are satisfied with their offers.

The affiliation is also in line with expanding the digital boundaries of the country, exposing the nation to the technological industry. This is one of the ways to propel innovation and technology in the country for the better of the economy. With the improved numbers of mobile penetration, Tanzania could be transforming faster than before catapulting the growth of other businesses.

Uber and Tigo hopes to come up with a bunch of services that could suit the two companies for mutual benefits. Improvement in the transport system will help the free flow and transportation of goods and persons. The direct beneficiaries will be Dar travelers that offer a readymade market for the parties.

Uber is planning on tapping the motorcycle riders in the next coming months to increase its influence in Dar, and has made the first step already to add more numbers to its business. Tigo customers will be able to Uber app on their smartphones without being charged for data bundles.
