Tanzania to host Annual Economic Empowerment Forum in June

The theme will be ‘Industrialization a Pillar for Economic Empowerment’

Coming thus June 2018, Tanzania will host a number of market key players in Dodoma as the East African country will host the Annual Economic Empowerment Forum. It is an event that gathers great names to share ideas and discuss the way forward in the economic journey. The event will take place in the mid of June, with the country anticipating over 400 participants to grace the event.

The focus will be on industrialization as it forms the major theme of the event. The sector has been touted to be a major aspect to be considered with an enormous potential to change gears for countries’ economies. A number of countries are looking into how to support their local firms to compete internationally as they seek to strengthen their economic prowess beyond their borders.

Both private and public players have a major role in the success of industrialization sector and need to cooperate to foresee the progress of the economy. The sector has a high capability of job creation to the unemployed portion of the population and contribution to the Government. Industrialization in Tanzania is one of the pillars to drive economic growth.

Tanzania aims at becoming a middle-income economy by 2025 and sees industrialization as a possible avenue to achieve this objective. A number of industries and companies have been established with a target of 100 in different regions to stir the economic growth around the country. This will help reduce the imbalanced growth in the country and support a wholesome growth.

The business forum will hope to review economic policies and make necessary changes for practical actualization and follow up. A number of opportunities have been identified in the sector and prove to be worth gains should they be taken into considerations.
