Taxify slashes prices to attract more riders in Dar
Tanzania, March 7 – Taxify has slashed its Bajaji fares in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania as the company hopes to lure more riders into procuring their services. The taxi company gave a 50% discount as a campaign to seek the attention of the prevailing market in the town. The taxi business is one of the fastest rising businesses and has a great competition.
The new prices were effective from February 28, a good deal the customers will enjoy in their boarding of the service. There is much competition from Uber, another ride-sharing platform and Taxify is ready to battle for the market. It proves to be a shrewd piece of business in the hope of customers taking the advantage of the offer to spur the company’s business.
Travellers taking short trips within the town have an opportunity to enjoy the affordable cost and better services. With the prevailing economic atmosphere, the slashing of prices is quite timely for the riders. On another note, new riders would prefer this as an avenue for transport than burn fuel with their personal cars.
It will help ease congestion in the busy town, though the company will be busy pushing the economy notch higher. The concern for the lower prices could have some implications of the drivers’ pay. However, there seems to be little bother on that as they will be compensated with some tips and bonus.
Taxify is barely a year old but has gained popularity in the city. It has served well its customers that it is a high-profile preferred transport choice for the market. With stiff competition, it has remained strong since its inception and hopes to have a better working environment in the coming days. It will take other taxis something special to bounce back in the market.
