  • Between 2015 and 2021, Kenya’s stock of FDI stood at $10.4 billion. The major investors were UK (13.5%), Mauritius (11%), US (10.3%), South Africa (9.8%) and France (5.2%).
  • FDI stock is predominantly concentrated in finance and insurance (around 33%), ICT (16.1%), wholesale and retail (15.4%) and manufacturing (14.8%).
  • Overall, Kenya has been one of the largest recipients of FDI in Africa.
