On CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Friday, "Shark Tank" star Kevin O'Leary defended his role as FTX's spokesperson.
"This is America," he says. "Unless proven otherwise, the justice system provides the presumption of innocence," O'Leary said.
The former FTX CEO was arrested earlier this week by Bahamian authorities, pending extradition and trial in U.S. federal court.
CNBC's Reporters questioned O'Leary about his venture capital career, paid FTX ambassadorship, and defence of Sam Bankman-Fried days before his arrest.
Kernen spoke bluntly to the Canadian businessman. O'Leary was asked by the Squawk Box host if he was still a venture investor.
"Did your venture investing allow you to use your name as a spokesperson?"
"Bad news, Joe. "I have a sizable advisory business," O'Leary countered.
