"Pharma bro" Martin Shkreli encouraged Sam Bankman-Fried to prepare for prison by listening to rap music, deepening his voice, and shaving his head.

After FTX collapsed, 30-year-old former billionaire Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas on 8 felony offences. He might serve 115 years if convicted.

On Laura Shin's podcast "Unchained," Shkreli said Bankman-Fried "isn't exactly going to be somebody that fits into prison."

"You know, my advice for him includes shaving his head and deepening his voice," Shkreli said.

"Sam is going to have a lot of troubles because he is a bit of an effeminate guy, and his demeanour is not something that goes over well in prison."

Shkreli said these prison reforms "may save your life." Shkreli advised him to stop claiming Stanford affiliation.

Bankman-Fried is charged with wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy, securities fraud, and money laundering.
