Employers are extending benefits to attract and retain talent. Free college is a powerful weapon.

Papa John's offers completely financed degrees from some prominent colleges, as well as tuition aid for various programs.

About 12K full- and part-time front-line employees, including workers who work as little as 10 hours a week, will eligible for the program.

"Wherever you can distinguish yourself is pretty crucial," Marvin Boakye, Papa John's chief people and diversity officer, said.

Coming out of the pandemic, more organisations are offering opportunities to gain new skills, which is good for new talent.

Nearly half of businesses, or 48%, now provide undergraduate or graduate tuition help as a benefit.

EdAssist has witnessed a 33% rise in clients offering free degree programs in 2022 alone.
