WEEI 93.7 SPORTS PATRIOTS Jakobi Meyers-less Patriots need a big game from DeVante Parker against Cardinals

By The Exchange Team

Mac Jones and the Patriots want top receiver Jakobi Meyers (out, concussion) for Monday night's season-defining contest.

The Patriots' offence can survive Meyers. Meyers' extended absences this season haven't been like that.

DeVante Parker's addition, as disappointing as it sounds, has contributed to it.

With Meyers out, the veteran receiver had his finest game of the season (156 yards on five catches) against the Ravens in Week 3 and scored his only touchdown of 2022 against the Packers in Week 4.

Parker caught four passes for 80 yards in Week 12 against Minnesota, including another Jones downfield pass. Meyers had a shoulder ailment.

Parker was supposed to get 50-50 passes and post receivers down the field, but Jones intercepted his one "50-50" throw into the end zone in Week 3.

Force-feeding Parker the ball has failed several times.
