As per a CNBC Delivering Alpha investor survey, investors are optimistic about 2023 despite market turmoil this year.

Four out of ten analysts believe the S&P 500 will rise 6% to 10% next year. Almost 2/10 of those polled expect gains ranging from 11% to 19%.

Meanwhile, 6% expect equities to rise by more than 20%, which would erase the S&P 500's 19% loss this year.

Nearly half of respondents believe the Federal Reserve can create a "soft landing" for the economy when interest rates rise.

Indeed, policymakers raised interest rates by half a point earlier this month, to the highest level in 15 years.

When asked what worried them most about the market, 73% of money managers replied Fed policies.

Chinese invasion of Taiwan was second. Nine percent indicated labour and supply line issues are their main fear.
