Know Why White House hits back at The Republicans.

Republicans are planning a judicial challenge to President Biden's historic initiative to forgive tens of millions of Americans' college debt.

Abdullah Hasan, a White House spokesman, accused the GOP of using double standards to target the middle class.

"The People are trying to keep millions of working middle-class Americans in mountains of debt,” Hasan told CNBC.

"After voting for a $2 trillion tax gift for the wealthiest and pocketing thousands of dollars. They are doing this." Hasan said.

The right may dispute Biden's plan to forgive up to $20,000 in college loans for millions of borrowers.

Even before the president's statement, some Republicans opposed debt cancellation.

GOP attorneys general from Arizona, Missouri, and Texas, along with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and the Heritage Foundation, are considering blocking the president's plan.
