The incident occurred on June 26, 2023, when Patel, known as the face of the viral 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai Bhai' meme, was traveling as a pillion rider.
He was returning from a video shoot in Nava Raipur when a collision with a truck resulted in severe injuries to his head and body.

The accident took place near the Labhandih area, within the jurisdiction of Telibandha police station, as the motorcycle he was on collided with a truck traveling in the same direction.
While Patel got trapped under the rear wheel of the truck, the bike rider, Rakesh Manhar, escaped unharmed.
Medical assistance was sought immediately, and Patel was rushed to a hospital. However, despite the efforts of the doctors, he was declared dead upon arrival.
