Pocatello area veterans were honored Friday at the Idaho Farm Bureau’s 11th annual Salute to Veterans ceremony. 

The veterans were recognized in each branch of the military served in with a special musical tribute.

More than 500 veterans and their families attended the event. The salute is a tribute to the longstanding traditions that local veterans service organizations have carried out each year on veterans day.

Special guest Nate Boyer who is a Green Beret Army Sergeant and also a professional football player talked about the camaraderie between the military members and how it’s similar to that of professional athletes.

His group, MVP Merging Vets and Players, talks about the struggles they face and help them move forward.

This is the Farm Bureau's way of saying thank you to our Pocatello-area veterans for their service to our country.
