Steph Curry has made countless mind-boggling shots on the basketball court, but perhaps nothing like the one he made Saturday on the golf course.

Curry, the Golden State Warriors star, sank a hole-in-one at the 2023 American Century Championship celebrity tournament at Lake Tahoe in Nevada – and he reacted as if he’d just won the NBA Finals.

After seeing the ball bounce into the cup on the 152-yard No. 7 hole, Curry ran down the fairway at fast-break speed and punched his right fist in the air as he leapt for joy.

Things were going well for Curry even before the ace. On Friday, he finished the first round at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in the lead with 27 points -- a unique scoring system. After completion of the second round, Curry remained in the lead with 50 points.

Joe Pavelski of the Dallas Stars and retired tennis pro Mardy Fish were tied for second place with 47 points heading into the final round Sunday.

According to the Reno Gazette Journal, part of the USA TODAY Network, Curry said he got some golf coaching this offseason, something he hadn't done before last year.

"All it is, is just kind of like how I approach basketball, you just put little blocks on top of each other and then eventually you find a pattern that you’re comfortable with," Curry said, "and then like two simple swing thoughts that you can go out into a tournament-type environment and trust that the ball is going to go where you want it to go."
