Mike Norvell’s Florida State program is looking to get a win over LSU in Week 1 on Sunday night.
During the game, one of his sideline interviews produced a rather humorous moment, largely due to the ill-timed nature of the interview being shown.
Between the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth quarter, Norvell gave his sideline interview for the ESPN on ABC broadcast.
That interview was played on a split screen during the first play of the fourth quarter.
The play was a great one for the Seminoles with defensive back Renardo Green picking off LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels was looking for Malik Nabers, but Nabers had fallen down on the route.
Green produced a solid return that would eventually be called back by review, all while the interview of Norvell played over the action.
The interview filled the full length of the play with the booth of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit unable to call the play for the audience.
