WhatsApp is testing a new feature in its latest beta version that allows users to pin chats to the top of group chats for up to 30 days.

Users can select a message and choose the "Pin" option to keep it at the top of the chat window, making it easily accessible even with new messages.

Users can customize how long a message is pinned, with options for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

The update also includes a redesigned share sheet with modern design elements.

WhatsApp is working on a feature called "Protect IP address in calls" to enhance privacy during voice calls by routing them through the company's servers.

Enabling this feature may slightly degrade voice call quality but helps protect users' IP addresses.

WhatsApp is developing a username picker feature, allowing users to choose a username to share with others instead of their phone number.

These usernames will be unique, and users may have the option to change them after selection.

There is no specific timeline for when these new features will be available in the stable version of WhatsApp.
