At a thought leadership conference hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, SeamlessHR, the leading enterprise-grade HR and payroll SaaS provider in Africa, announced the opening of its East African operations.

By implementing well-designed, top-notch technological solutions, SeamlessHR, an end-to-end HR and payroll technology firm, aims to help companies in emerging markets become more productive and successful.

At the event, which was held at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi with the theme “Maximising Africa’s Human Capital at the Intersection of Technology and Enterprise,” influential business executives and IT specialists were present.

The presenters, who included Dr. Emmanuel Okeleji, co-founder and CEO of SeamlessHR, and Kris Senanu, chairman of Blackrock Capital, provided insightful information on how Kenyan companies may quickly increase their level of global competitiveness by digitising their labour management procedures.

Dr. Emmanuel Okeleji, who spoke at the occasion, said that despite the company’s expansion into East Africa, SeamlessHR is still concentrating on its strategic goal of creating top-notch cloud solutions to assist organisations in managing business processes.

He made this statement, “Due to its distinctive customer-centric SaaS design approach, SeamlessHR is poised to meet the demands of Kenyan businesses in a way that international competitors cannot.

We are developing software solutions to optimise HR now, but in the future, we’ll expand to other sectors beyond Human resources.”

“We’re winning against global players in our local market. Even though we’re not diverting ourselves right now, we know that we can play this game worldwide. We are well-positioned to establish a global SaaS company,” he added.

“Indeed, as a rapidly expanding SaaS company, We recognise that our expansion will be incomplete if we are not present in East Africa. Thus we have been anticipating this day as it affirms our position as long-term business partners to commercial businesses across East Africa,” he continued.

According to the event’s panel, only 30 per cent of Kenyan enterprises have wholly automated their human resource (HR) management operations, resulting in lost revenue.

In response to recent reports by Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), data demonstrate that 7.4 million firms, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya, are struggling to manage human resources.

The keynote speaker, Kris Senanu, emphasised the significance of digital transformation for Kenyan firms seeking relevance in the regional and international markets.

He contends that an intelligent digitisation plan for finance, production, procurement, and labour management will assist in eliminating the damaging elements and guarantee cost savings, higher product quality, increased productivity, and increased enterprise competitiveness.

In his presentation, Kris said there is no area of business process management where this is as compelling as workforce management.

“In a nutshell, the digitalisation of business refers to the application of contemporary technology to raise productivity and enterprise value in a competitive market. SaaS platforms help business leaders and managers succeed because they increase the effectiveness of day-to-day management and provide critical data that funnels business decisions,” Kris Senanu stated.

With this official launch, SeamlessHR, which started serving clients in Kenya in 2021, has solidified its position as a top-tier service provider in the East African nation’s capital by making available its product suites, which include an HR management system, competency management and performance, HR analytics, leave management, payroll management, and recruitment management.

For its subsequent growth and regional expansion stage, the company raised US$10 million in Series A funding in January 2022. According to the company, this funding has further solidified its position as “Africa’s leading cloud HR and payroll platform,” It is now implementing its plans for the East African regional markets.
