Decentralisation refers to modifying or changing how our existing healthcare systems operate. The methods and procedures used in our present healthcare systems are standardised and normalised.

A sick person goes to the doctor because they are covered by insurance or willing to pay out of pocket after being evaluated. The patient is then prescribed one or more medications, considered the standard methods for addressing that effect. Nevertheless, there are flaws in the structure of this system.

Many patients must wait for several weeks before they can visit a physician; some do not have health insurance or the money to pay for the treatment provided by a medical expert.

Others cannot afford prescription medications or are given medicines that do not treat the underlying condition but instead lead to dependency on the drug.

Afya Rekod is a platform driven entirely by patients and places them at the centre of all healthcare services.

They can record, store, access, and own their health information, which provides several benefits, including reducing the cost of repetitive medical testing.

Patients or doctors will no longer be necessary to return to the health clinic to acquire imaging files or test results because they will be able to do so using an app on their mobile device or a browser on their computer.

Afya Rekod employs various AI and blockchain modules, and the patient retains the sovereign right to own their health data; this helps to ensure that patient information is kept confidential.

The Chief Executive Officer of Afya Rekod, John Kamara, said,

“Our vision is to put patients at the core of our work. We want to make it feasible for families to digitally access their medical records whenever necessary, in a manner that takes only a few seconds. The collaboration with Medi-science International Limited will make it possible for patients’ medical records to be transmitted to their treating physicians efficiently and securely.”

“Afya Rekod enables clinicians to access data and exchange it with other specialists, making diagnoses and decisions that are better informed.

Practical proximity between medical professionals and patients cuts down on the amount of time spent waiting in long lines for consultations with medical professionals patients; as a result, this proximity makes it possible to provide prompt medical care to patients without their having to be present at a hospital or other healthcare facility physically.” John Kamara added.

Sunny Ahonsi, CEO of Medi-science International Limited, stated,

“Our world’s Healthcare Systems are moving through what we would like to call a stage of awakening.

For several decades, the accessibility and effectiveness of our healthcare systems, which are currently burdened by an ageing population, have been stuck in a rut concerning the traditional treatments and care they provide for individuals.

This is one reason why the decentralisation of healthcare is becoming an ever more pressing necessity.

At Medi-science International Limited, we are collaborating with the existing healthcare systems while at the same time decentralising their traditional procedures to produce the highest possible levels of care that are also the most cost-effective.”

“Your health is in the hands of our innovative professionals, and MediLiVes is here to connect you to the appropriate care.

Together with Afya Rekod, we will work on making data more accessible in order to facilitate the generation of insights that can contribute to improved, more specific, and more individualised patient care.
This relationship helps further the road toward digital healthcare, ultimately benefiting millions of people.
The health industry and the general public need to work together to make that happen. ” She added.

An analytical telemedicine system is provided by MediLiVes; the system aims to reduce the time and money required for medical tests.

MediLiVes is a forward-thinking project that provides telemedicine solutions that are one-of-a-kind and cutting-edge.

One of the fields experiencing the most rapid expansion worldwide is telemedicine, which is built on technology that allows for a patient’s health status to be monitored from a distance.
