Pitch Live applications for the 2022 edition of the fourth Africa Startup Summit, which will be held in Nairobi next month are now available.
The Africa Startup Summit is part of the fourth annual Africa Tech Summit, which will take place live and in-person on February 23-24 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The two-day event which provides insight and networking within the African tech ecosystem will highlight Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and talent.
The event brings together tech leaders, MNOs, corporates, startups, investors, entrepreneurs, governments, trade bodies and media.

Ten startups will be selected to present their products and “ask” on-stage to an audience of more than 500 leaders in the African tech ecosystem.
“We are delighted to welcome back African startups to Pitch Live on stage at Africa Tech Summit. While the last two years have been very challenging globally, many tech ventures across the continent have flourished. Supporting the ecosystem and creating a platform for these startups to connect with investors and corporates is what the Africa Startup Summit is all about,” Africa Tech Summit founder Andrew Fassnidge said.
Selected ventures will also be able to attend the full event, which will include three summits as well as a variety of workshops, discussions, and networking events.
To apply, startups must be African (have at least one African co-founder or be headquartered in Africa), be less than five years old, have a minimum viable product (MVP) with traction, have raised less than $1 million in external funding, and have a current “ask.”
Startups must be able to travel to Nairobi for the summit. The deadline for applications is January 31st, and they will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The event, which has previously taken place in Kigali, Rwanda will also include workshops, an expo, a deal room, a venture showcase and unparalleled networking opportunities.
The 2022 edition of the event will host three tracks – the Money and DeFi Summit, Africa Startup Summit and the Africa Mobile Summit – in a bid to drive interaction and a future line of sight across a range of sectors.
