The 12th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) featured a highly impactful session on tolerance and coexistence. The highlight was the signing of MoUs between six nations and the UAE to promote the values of tolerance and coexistence. 

H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence highlighted the country’s unique standing globally in creating a society of tolerance and coexistence.

Socially diverse country in the world

H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan emphasized that the UAE is the best country to invest in. Some of the nation’s strengths are being the most religiously, politically, and socially diverse country in the world. The minister added that UAE authorities have been actively promoting peace, coexistence, and harmony among all residents. 

In the UAE, tolerance involves genuinely caring for the welfare of all human beings and acting accordingly, he explained. Tolerance was an essential cog in driving the country’s business.

H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan also highlighted initiatives undertaken by the UAE with international and national organizations to create a tolerant society. The move, he added, fosters social and economic growth, security, safety, and happy and harmonious communities.

The UAE, country that shares borders with Oman and Saudi Arabia, has always provided a tolerant and safe society. Through quality education, the oil-rich nation enables families to live peacefully and work together without fear of violence. This helps to promote social and economic growth and encourages market confidence and competitiveness. 

The Kingdom of Bahrain

The signing ceremonies between six nations and the UAE to foster tolerance will help work together and enable investments. The MoUs were struck between the UAE and Kazakhstan, Armenia, the Island of Guinea, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Government of Sindh, Pakistan.

The signing took place between distinguished personalities such as H.E. Narek Mkrtchyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs – Armenia; H.E. Umbriel Temiraliev, Head of the National Investments Authority – Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Louopou Lamah, Minister of Trade, Industry and SME, Guinea; H.E. Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy in UAE; H.E. Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, & Member of the Council of Muslim Bahrain Kingdom Elders; H.E. Darkhan Kydyrali, Minister of Information and Public Development – Republic of Kazakhstan; and Syed Qassim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh, Investment Department & Public Private Partnership Project, Government of Sindh, Pakistan.

The signing of MoUs further underscored the UAE’s unwavering commitment to creating a tolerant and peaceful society. It also demonstrates the nation’s eagerness to collaborate with other countries in promoting the values of coexistence and harmony.
