The Burundi crisis was one topic of discussion in yesterday’s EAC, 17th Extraordinary Summit.
The summit also oversaw the appointment of Rwandan Christopher Bazivamo as (EAC) Deputy Secretary General for a period of three years. Mr Bazivamo, who is also one of the country’s representatives in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), took the oath of secrecy and allegiance before resuming his new duties.
