Zantel to create new jobs for youth – Tanzania

Zantel Tanzania has pledged to create new jobs particularly for the youth through implementation of its expansion plan.

This was said by Zantel Chief Executive Officer, Mr Benoit Janin, during the launch of a new state-of the art shop and service centre at China Plaza-Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam yesterday.

In this shop, any customer will be able to get a wide range of devices which are 4G abled as well as other features which can suit people with different needs. “These are affordable so all Tanzanians will be able to own a communication device which is a necessity,” he said.

For example there are dongles for students and businessmen who are bundled with the most affordable internet packages; these can help them communicate with the world from wherever they are.

In support of the government, Zantel will create more employment to youth who register as sales freelancers as well as EzyPesa agents, who can increase their income while doing their businesses.

This is a second shop in Dar es Salaam supported by kioski and various outlets countrywide. Zantel is in a plan to open more shops so that its customers will be able to get products and services everywhere.

“All shops are equipped with knowledgeable and experienced staff members who are ready to serve our customers and assist them with their telecommunication needs which is now necessary in everyday lives. This does not end here; we are creating more employment,” Mr Janin said.

“While we are at the final stage for network mobilisation we are making sure we spread our product and services available for customers’ easy reach,” he said.
