60 international companies are set to converge at Kenya’s Kenyatta International Convention Centre (K.I.C.C) from 27th -30th September 2016 for a Four -day International Trade fair that will showcase chemical products from various sectors such as plastics, packaging, paper, printing coating, pharmaceutical & cosmetics bottling equipment, Agrochemicals and fertilizers.
The Event will bring together potential international investors with interest in investing, trading and doing business in the region to participate as exhibitors and key resource persons during the trade fair.
Manufacturers and distributors, and a myriad of business people are expected to there. Kenya Chemex, as the trade fair has been dabbed is seen as the platform for opportunities in investments. The fair will see over 5,000 trade partners explore investment opportunities at a time when trade and tourism has opened up doors for international trade and also at a time when Kenya is seen as a trade hub by international investors.
Some of the local participants include who will be present include; the Ministry of Industry& Enterprise Development Government agencies- KENINVEST, KNCCI- county Chapters, business federations and Private sector Associations such as Kenya Publishers Association, Micro and Small Enterprise Federation, KNCCI, foreign Diplomatic Missions in Kenya; Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Egypt among others.
The Trade Fair is organized by Kenya’s Ikapa media East Africa ltd- Kenya in collaboration with 2Art Fairs; an International Trade Fair & Exhibition company based in Egypt.
Business-to-business linkages are expected to be the hallmark of the fair as the organizers will seek to engage the participants in the match making sessions with pre-arranged meetings. A series of networking forums in the b2bs, networking lunches, cocktails, and gala dinners have also been organized to enhance the trade fair activities.
This trade fair comes after a series of major successful annual fairs that saw over 4,000 trade partners represented by the exhibitors amongst them Kenya and Egyptian trade partners, Kenya Chambers of Commerce, Egyptian and Kenya promotion councils. This year’s confirmation of trade visitors are expected to double.
