The rapper and actor from Champaign, Illinois, Ludacris has a net worth that is estimated to be $80 million making him one of the top 100 richest rappers in the world.

The college graduate has music and acting in his resume and has over the years acquired a considerable amount of fortune over the years. Known for pioneering the sound of deep South Hip-Hop to the mainstream, ‘Luda’ is one of the most recognizable names in the music industry.

Ludacris wrote his first rap when he was only nine years old, and moved on to join his first rap group at the tender age of only twelve. After high school, he studied music at Georgia State University.

Born Christopher Brian Bridges, Ludacris is the CEO of the record company ‘Disturbing Tha Peace’ and with three Grammy Awards under his belt, Ludacris has a net worth of $80 million.

The fact that his birthday is on 09.11 only served to add the insanity of his persona which the millionaire rapper describes himself as having a split personality and which in his words is simply ludicrous.

It is that core of genius-insanity that Mr. Bridges says led to the coining of his alias Ludacris.

You can, in his coined name see the loony and genius at work combining ludicrous and his first name Christopher to come up with the hip hop household name Ludacris, a favorite on former President Obama’s playlist.

Ludacris joined the world of fame and fortune after he signed with Def Jam Records where he produced his first album: Back for the First Time which hit the number four spot on the US Billboard 200.

His next two albums Word of Mouf and Chicken-n-Beer and that he moved on to be nominated for a Grammy and when his fourth album, The Red Light District, came out, it debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard charts.

Some huge moneymaker singles for Luda include “Money Maker,” which was a number-one single and that album sold 309,000 units. Later, Ludaversal debuted at the number three spot on the Billboard 200.

Ludacris’ acting career features famous roles in Fast and Furious, Hustle & Flow, and Crash.  Notably, between August 2014 and August 2015 alone, Ludacris earned approximately $8 million from his acting and musical endeavors.

The genius musician is also an apt entrepreneur who co-owns Conjure Cognac, a line of headphones called Soul by Ludacris. He wouldn’t be truly from the south if he did not own a restaurant and other than the food business, he is also into real estate.

He started small when in 2007 he bought a condo in Los Angeles and then a second unit in the same building then bought a $4.8 million house in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, and also owns a very large and impressive estate in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Trouble in paradise: It has not all been sweets and candy for Luda, in 2014 Ludacris was taken to court by his ex-girlfriend over child support. Tamika Fuller sued for $15,000 a month to help her raise their 2-year daughter Cai.
