Hong Kong is targeting investment and trade deals in Kenya in renewed effort to deepen its relations with the East African nation.The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) this week led a delegation to Nairobi and Mombasa, eying the Kenyan market.Hong Kong companies are eying investments in Export Processing Zones (EPZ), export market, Special Economic Zones, logistics and trade in Kenya. Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Richard Ngatia has encouraged private investors from Hong Kong to invest in Kenya.

Hong Kong is targeting investment and trade deals in Kenya in renewed effort to deepen its relations with the East Africa’s economic power house.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) this week led a delegation to Nairobi and Mombasa, eying investments in the Kenyan market.

It is keen to tap on investments under the government Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, in a close collaboration with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI).

The delegation which included ten leading companies held talks with the Kenyan business community and government in Nairobi and Mombasa, with KNCCI playing host during the six days visit that commenced on Monday.

Hong Kong companies are eying investments in Export Processing Zones (EPZ), export market, Special Economic Zones, logistics, real estate and trade.

Chinese tourists arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport-The Exchange

Less than a fortnight after a thousand visitors from the Middle East toured Tanzania, the country has just received the first batch of expected 1,000 tourists from the Far East.

Landing at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) on Sunday 13th May, 2019 evening, more than 350 tourists from China kicked off their itinerary by sampling Northern Zone attractions, including the Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti National Park.

They were received at the airport terminal by the Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, who described the entourage as yet another indication that Tanzania is becoming a lucrative destination for visitors and investors from overseas.
